THE BRIEF
To transform Bloomingdale’s flagship store into an ‘all things New York’ event to celebrate the Harpers Bazaar annual global ICONS portfolio and the iconic retailer’s 150th Anniversary with a nod to their iconic past and an inspirational eye towards the future. The event must showcase, through the lens of fashion, what is quintessential and iconic about New York with an energetic, playful display of interactive activations throughouth the space creating entertaining and sharable moments.

THE APPROACH
Guests were greeted by a light show which ran across the full face of the building this created an impressive backdrop for the 75ft photo wall and ‘red’ carpet opportunity. A fully immersive arcade was installed on the second floor of this multi-storey takeover bringing an engaging, fully interactive and playful element to the space. This was flanked by the main performance stage featuring Jack Harlow as the headliner and the iconic New York newsstand hosted by the independent printed media retailer Casa Magazines which displayed the ICONS edition of the Harper’s Bazaar magazine. The top floor of the event featured an exhibition space showcasing the renowned photographer John Edmonds.

THE RESULT
The event hosted by Samira Nasr was attended by the icons from the magazine including Ella Emhoff, Angus Cloud, Heidi and Leni Klum, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Jared Leto and Jack Harlow who performed in the store.
